After a hedgerow ambush, they take shelter in a shattered village and clear a cellar for the night. Behind a false wall, they find a doorframe sunk into packed earth, iron-hinged, dry as bone, untouched by blast or rot.
It should not exist.
It should not open.
Once it does, the war changes.
